אין צדין דגים מן הביברין ואין נותנין לפניהן מזונות אבל צדין חיה 30 ועוף מן הביברין ונותנין לפניהן מזונות. רש׳׳בגרבן שמעון בן גמליאל אומר לא כל הביברין שוין. זה הכלל כל המחוסר צידה אסור. ושאינו מחוסר צידה מותר.
2ב׳ מצודות חיה ועופות ודגים שעשאן מערב יום טוב לא יטול מהן ביום טוב אלא אם כן ידוע שניצודו מבעוד יום. מעשה בגוי אחד שהביא דגים לר׳׳גלרבן גמליאל ואמר מותרין הן אלא שאין רצוני לקבל הימינו.
3ג׳ 35 בהמה מסוכנת לא ישחוט אלא א׳׳כאם כן ידוע שהוא יכול לוכל ממנה כזית צלי מבעוד יום. ר׳ רבי עקיבה אומר אפילו כזית חי מבית טביחתה. שחטה בשדה לא יביאנה במוט ובמטה אבל מביאה בידו איברים איברים.
4ד׳ בכור שנפל לבור רבי יהודה או׳ אומר ירד המומחה ויראה אם יש בו מום יעלה וישחוט ואם לאו לא ישחוט. ר׳׳שרבי שמעון או׳ אומר כל שאין מומו ניכר מערב י׳׳טיום טוב אין זה מן המוכן.
5ה׳ בהמה שמתה 40 לא יזיזינה ממקומה. מעשה ששאלו את ר׳ רבי טרפון עליה ועל החלה שניטמא׳ שניטמאת ונכנס לבית המדרש ושאל אמרו לו לא יזיזים ממקומן.
6ו׳ אין נמנין על הבהמה כתחילה ביום טוב אבל נימנין עליה מערב יום טוב ושוחטין ומחלקין ביניהן. רבי יהודה אומר שוקל אדם בשר כנגד הכלי או כנגד הקופיץ. וחכמים אומרים אין משגיחין בכף מאזנים כל עיקר.
7ז׳ אין משחיזין את הסכין אבל משיאה על 45 גבי חבירתה. לא יאמר אדם לטבח מכור לי בדינר בשר אבל שוחט והן מחלקין ביניהן.
8ח׳ אומר אדם לחנווני מלא לי כלי זה אבל לא במידה. רבי יהודה אומר אם היה כלי של מידה לא ימלאנו. מעשה בשאול בן בטנית שהיה ממלא את מדותיו מערב יום טוב ונותנן ללקוחות ביום טוב. אבא שאול אומר במועד עושה כן. וחכמים אומ׳ אומרים אף בחול עושה כן מפני מיצוי המידות. ט׳ או אדם 50 לחבירו תן לי בצים ואגוזים במיניין שכן דרך בעל הבית להיות מונה בתוך ביתו׃
